To ensure your photo gets added to our media presentation, make sure the pictures meet the following guidelines.
Submission deadline: Friday May 8th at Noon, No more than 2 pictures per family.
1. What Not to Include (Content Filters)
Low-Quality Images: photos or images that are extremely blurry or pixelated.
Distracting Backgrounds: Avoid photos where the background is cluttered, contains unrelated people,
or has distracting elements (like trash cans or photo bombers).
Inappropriate Attire or Contexts: Ensure all photos align with the values of the congregation.
Avoid images where people are holding alcohol, wearing overly revealing clothing, or
displaying controversial logos/slogans.
Overly Crowded Group Shots: For specific tributes (like Mother’s Day), large group shots where it is hard
to identify the individual can be difficult to use effectively in a slideshow.
2. Suggested Content Themes
To get the best results, we encourage to submit:
Candid Moments: Genuine smiles and interactions often resonate better than stiff, posed portraits.
Action Shots: People serving, laughing, or participating in community events.
Landscape/Horizontal Photos: These generally fit better on sanctuary screens and TV monitors
than vertical (portrait) phone shots.
3. Preferred Technical Formats
File Type: Request JPEG or PNG. Ask users to avoid sending "HEIC" files (the default iPhone format).
Resolution: "Actual Size" or "Large" when send via email. Messaging apps often compress images,
making them grainy when projected on a large screen.
Name of Event: To stay organized, add the name of the file with the subject's name
(e.g.,
Jane_Doe_MothersDay.jpg).
